McCain and Leiberman will not be in office in 08. I believe that people dont want another republican (as seen in the congressional election). We should not send more troops to add to the 140,000 already there. Whats the point? Military presence obviously isnt going to stop sectarian violence, so its time to try something else.

No, but it may be the right thing to do short term. As long as that it is undone in 3 months or less and the end result is that we can then slowly get out of there , then I am for it. It has nothing to do with 2008, it has everything to do with the now and controlling the violence in Iraq.

2008 elections has nothing to do with what the current Administration is doing. McCain may be Backing sending more troops, but he always agrees with Bush anyway, its nothing new.
