Did you just move to the western world recently? Christmas Day is December 25 and is celebrated on December 25. Unlike other holidays, the date of celebration is NOT changed to create a long weekend. Another suggestion for you: most businesses are closed on December 25.

Christmas is determined by a date -- 25 December, not a day, so the day is different every year.. Thanksgiving, on the other hand, always falls on the fourth Thursday of November, so the date changes evey year.
