Strictly speaking you can...as the HGC level can be detected about 7-10 days after conception....most tests arent good enough to pick up before you are due and a doc wouldnt be happy to perform a blood test for this reason, although that would be your best chance of knowing! Goodluck, hope you get what you wish for

Only by detecting change in your body which may indicate early symptoms of pregnancy such as enlarged or sore breasts, nausea, tiredness etc. However these can be easily muddled with symptoms of PMT as the two can be similar. A pregnancy test can be taken (some brands) up to 4 days before a missed period but before this there is not enough of the pregnancy hormone (if you are pregnant) in you to be detected. Failing these you could simply try to calculate your dates to way up the chances you have fallen pregant. You will have ovulated (been fertile) 14 days before your next period. If you had sex on or around this time then the chances are higher. If it was much earlier or later then the chances are you may have not conceived.

While I am not sure the name of the test (check your local pharmacy and reads the boxes) I just saw a commercial for a pregnancy test that can detect if you are pregnant 5 days before your peroid.

A blood test from your doctor can usually tell if you are pregnant about a week after you ovulate... but as far as testing from home, HPT usually can only test up to a few days before your missed period. and even then, they are more accurate if you wait until your missed period... you might test a few days early and it come out negative, but you are really pregnant. the HSG levels might just not be high enough yet for the HPT to detect it...
good luck. i know the two week waiting period is aweful! we have been ttc for 10 months now and i am always so anxious waiting!!

Afraid not, pregnancy tests dont usually work untill there is enough hormone to detect around the time your period is due. You may get a positive result a couple of days before if the levels are high enough but any negative result would be unreliable.

You can use a clear blue pregnancy test which allows you to test as little as 4 days early a blood test is more sensitive and is able to pick up hcg levels a little earlier

Well, it's debatable. There are a few pregnancy tests that claim to be able to dectect pregnancy up to five days before your period is missed. However, I wouldn't put too much stock in them. Hormone levels may be too low to detect until after a period is missed.

Your maximum chance of having pregnant is at the same time as your ovulating (frequently round day 14 of your cycle), yet there nonetheless is a small chance you may get pregnant at the same time as on your era.

Of course you can, you just need to knwo where to get the right test... and not the stupidly expensive clearblue one!

I knew ages before my period was due (aside from the symptoms)

Knock yourself out with these, they don't look much but they're great and won't break the bank.
