Even though you may not feel like doing it, the following works great.

Get down on all fours, either on the floor or your bed. Hold your hands firmly and push your bottom back as far as you can with out moving your hands. Hold to the count of five then return to the original position. Do as many as you feel comfortable with. I did ten to fifteen all the time. Don't over do!

I suggest this to anyone who asks my opinion. I had lower back pain during my period and sometimes cramps.

You might want to consider taking a good Complex B vitamin. When I started taking these, most of my period pain was non existent. After awhile, I rarely did the stretch exercise for pain. No matter what, it's a great stretch or warm up. Good Luck!

I know this sounds odd, but I was told to eat bananas days before you're due ... the added potassium helps alleviate some of the cramping ... it has helped ... along with the other advise given above. I suffer horribly but they're getting a lot better.

I find that chammomile tea helps, chocolate and also for cramps putting your feet higher than your head will help alliviate the cramps..for example lieing down on the floor with you feet on the bed or a chair...also advil if medication is needed!

And cuddles and good tummy and back rubs!!

I use a heating pad. There are herbal teas too. Warm baths help. Exercise is good. There are a lot of yoga positions as well.
