According to some "sexpert" on the 'Today' show, the average married couple has sex (with each other!) 98 times a year.
Being waaaaaaaaay below average, I almost fell out of my chair at the doctor's office in a fit of pitiful laughter.

I guess way above average. WE are more like 5 times a week (but only if we can't manage more)and hardly ever go without for 3 days in a row, or I get bitchy. I am surprised at the answers really. Don't any of you do it more than once on the same day? And hey, we're not kids, we're both 52. And were good at it. We have quickies. We have marathons and anything in between. We just have lots of sex. We love it and have a high compatibility.

In many marriages this may be true. But don't laugh, because it's more than half of the single people out there. A "single" person may get involved with someone, have sex for weeks, then the relationship ends. Your single again, staring at porn for months until you find a new date. Some people are single for almost a year or more, thats a long time with no sex.
The only people who have tons of sex are single people who are so sexy they have no trouble ever finding dates, and married couples who both spouses have very high sex drives.

Average but we also connect on another level which is not all about sex. We have 3 children (17, 16, & 9) been married since July 2006

Way above average......5-6 times a week here. Been married 9 and a half years....he has 2 ( pest control and NCAA umpire) jobs and Im at home with the kids...8, 5, and 18 mo. Im sorry but I am hardly ever too tired for sex....

We are waaaaaaaay below right along with ya. We both work very demanding jobs and have little time for much else BUT that really isn't the true answer as to why we don't have sex more than once or twice a month if we're lucky. We have two 100lb labs that sleep in bed with us. Not much room left for any pleasure.

Twice a week? I'd say that we're about average than!! Some weeks we have sex almost everyday, while some weeks we have no sex at all! We try to fit it in any chance we get, especially since right now we are by ourselves! We figure that once its time for babies, we will have no time for sex at all!!

Yeah, I'll join you in that below average catagory. My hubby works 6-7 days a week, 14 hour night shift. I'd have to jump him on his coffee break in order to make that quota.
