Terrorism is not a natural phenomenon. Why do these people want to kill us? They think were: "Pigs, Swine, Ugly Americans".
Osama has said that he wants Gringos out of that part of the world. Europeans have been on Crusades there since the middle ages. All with the same result.

It would seem that if we curtailed our use of petro oil drastically, we'd not need to maintain a presence in that part of the World. In fact, nobody ever really cared about that part of the world until the Dutch, & the Nazi's in WWII discovered its petro reserves.
Leaving their would lessen the risk, I'm assuming, of irratating the natives! Out of Sight - Out of Mind! Makes sense to ME!!!

I'd go a step further. Cease production of the Internal Cumbustion Engine, & go totally (not quite possible) Electric!

Take this answer from a Saudi...

No

Well, the main goal of the leader of the Islamic-Extremist Terrorism Usama Bin Ladin is to Bring down the Saudi Royal Family (He's sayings are: Our Main Goal is to bring down the people who are in control of the Lands of the two Holy Mosques).

Bin Ladin and Afghan Mujahideen were allies and supported by the US and UK and Saudi Arabia against the Soviets

Bin ladin was Expelled from Saudi Arabia and got his citizenship revoked because he was criticizing the Saudi Government and having no problems with the presence of the American Army during 1990/91.

So what will it do? it'll let the Saudi Government run out of money and it'll go down and then those Terrorists will have their own country and Terrorism will get bigger and bigger.

I liked the good spirit in you and how you want to help your country, and believe me if electric cars will stop terrorism I'll Be the First One to Buy it

Have a Nice Day!

Your question is certainly a valuable one, however terrorism is complex. Oil is relied on for numerous reasons in addition to use in cars and our relationship with these countries extends beyond a simple reliance of oil. The most powerful way to reduce terrorism in my opinion is to foster good relationships not attempt to cut our ties. In fact turning our backs on other countries may in fact lead to a greater prevalence of terrorism. The threat to us of terrorism is not confined to countries which we rely on for oil either.

I'm afraid that this is only a very basic answer for you because as I said terrorism it's causes and prevention are complex.

reducing money bypass to Arab states received't shrink terrorism. this is going to destabilize their present governments, leaving actual looking states prey to terrorists interior of their own international places. Mandating bio-fuels and electric powered automobiles right here might want to help the ambience, yet could have economic aspect-consequences besides. How a lot corn will we locate the money for to reveal into gas without utilizing up the fee of meals. How will we generate the electrical energy to fee the electric powered automobiles? Coal is a restricted source and nuclear skill merely delivers extra terror objectives. the commitments to photo voltaic, wind, and geo-thermal skill on a huge scale are years away, yet encouraging. Breaking our dependence on carbon depending fuels is to our benefit, inspite of the indisputable fact that it received't end or curtail terrorism.

Yes, this is the solution but not the only one.
The complete solution is to have no economical and financial relation to any muslim countries for a while, then they will collapse automatically as far as religion is a drug but doesn't feed the people.
Are you ready to ride horse again and heat your house with wood fire or any energy other than oil ? no more product made from oil coming from middle east ???

Our countries is rich enough to do so and to overcome this problem but what about our politicians and gouvernment ?
I am ready if it could solve the muslim terrorism

No.The oil issue is just an excuse for the terrorist.Frankly if the west did not buy their oil, they would be even worse off since most Middle Eastern countries produce nothing else of value.Unless you count heroin.

I think it could be a big step in the right direction - if people will accept and drive the cars.
*
Electric vehicles exist, and can be bought, but suffer from a bad rap because of negative and untruthful information put into our culture by special interests.
*
Contrary to some disinfo you may have heard, electric cars are cheap to drive, and don't pollute anywhere near what gasoline vehicles do. A gas engine is less than 25% efficient. Electric motors are more than 90% efficient, and delivering electricity by wire is 95% efficient. This beats trucking gasoline to thousands of gas stations! Fuel also burns far more efficiently at a big plant than it does in your little car.
*
I can prove this by showing you fuel prices - after all, you will be paying for fuel no matter how it gets to you, right? About how much does gasoline cost per mile? It varies of course, but it's somewhere around 10 to 15 cents per mile. How much does it cost to drive electric? The Toyota RAV4 EV, for example, gets 4 miles per kilowatt-hour. Off-peak (nighttime) electricity costs about 3 to 10 cents per kilowatt-hour, depending where you live. This means driving electric only costs about a penny per mile - MUCH cheaper than gasoline, and it's all due to the greater efficiency of EVs.
*
Efficiency improvements mean less pollution - because you are driving further on less fuel. Remember also, that only about half of electricity is made from burning dirty fuel (and only 3% is made by burning oil.)
*
Did you know an electric car can be had for as little as $5000? For this price you get a conversion - a gas car converted to electric. Cars like this look and handle like normal cars, and do freeway speeds, but have limited driving ranges. This is the kind of car I drive. More info here:

*
If you want a new electric car, here's an exciting one, coming out this year. It will go up to 250 miles on a charge, carries 5 people plus cargo, and can charge in only TEN MINUTES. This car can be pre-ordered NOW. Info here:

*
The Phoenix will be expensive though. If you don't need to get on the freeway, you might like the Zap. It's a very fun vehicle that only costs $10,000.

*
I'll bet you've never heard of any of these cars. Popular culture, with help from the media and various nterests, continues to propogate the myth that such cars are impossible. Join me - drive an impossible car!

since so called "terrorism" is because of poverty and unjustness I doubt an electric car would make a difference. How about justice for all.
