Maybe you only need 6 hours of sleep. Avoid caffeine and try to come up with something that will make you sleepy like drinking warm milk or reading for 20 minutes (preferrably something really boring).

As a permanet night shift worker for four years I can give you my two best suggestion that worked for me after trying lots and lots!

I find Chammomile tea helps to calm u down and makes you sleepy just make sure when you buy it that its one with "no caffeine!" I have found that some of them do have and that wont help! Make the tea and soak the teabag for like ten - fifteen minutes before drinking it.

The second thing I find that helps is turning your mind off. I find that thinking about the colour blue (which is a relaxing colour) helps me to fall asleep. I think about the blue sea and the blue sky meeting and flying over it and before I know it I fall asleep!

Also dont have anything with caffeine in it after 2pm...ie chocolate..coke..coffee or even high suger glucose lollies!

Hope this helps and you get some sleep!

My dear friend if you take study tension pl don't, study quietly.
23:00 to 05:00 is the best sleeping time, try to adjust with it so that you will always get sound sleep and your growth will be proper. So go to bed at 23:00 or before.
Have a glass of warm milk with either dates + soaked almond paste or simple sugar/honey.
If you don't play please go on ground at least for one/ two hours a day. Avoid chess and computer/video games. You will certainly sleep without trouble.

Melatonin gel capsules work. They put you to sleep real fast and they're herbal supplements you can get over-the-counter. Also try warm milk, chamomile tea or peppermint tea.

Avoid eating or exercising 2 hrs before bedtime. Avoid caffeine too.

Avoid watching or reading anything heavy-themed or you'll go to sleep with heavy thoughts. In my case, it prevents my brain from shutting off cuz I start thinking real hard about all the crap I have to do the next day.
