Here is a brief overview of what happens during a female orgasm:
Stimulation of clitoris
Tension build-up is caused within pelvis
Tension is finally released and orgasm is experienced
Series of involuntary (yet pleasurable) muscle contractions sweep through body
Contractions are felt in the vagina, uterus, and/or rectum
Unlike with the male orgasm, women have the ability to feel many different types of climaxes. These climaxes are dependent on the types of stimuli used, and whether the orgasm is clitoral or vaginal.

I remember asking a friend the same question MANY years ago, she said, "if your having one, you'll know!!!" I didn't experience the same "feelings" that my friends were talking about, and just thought I was broken or something. I was divorced from my 1st husband for almost 5 years when I, under advice from my grandma, "put it back out on the market" (she was very liberal and open). The first time I had sex, OMG, I finally understood what the big deal was! The sensations and "all-over loss of control" feelings were so intense and overwhelmingly incredible, I knew!

If you don't already know the answer yourself, then you're not experiencing an orgasm. When it happens...you'll know.
Masturbate yourself gently with your fingertip on you clitoris. You will gradually feel it enlarge as it swells with blood. Keep massaging it and you will notice that it feels better and better. Keep massaging it until all of your attention seems focused on your clitoris. Rub and massage the area from you clitoris to your vagina over and over....gradually slide your finger(s) inside your vagina while you keep massaging your swollen clitoris. Keep massaging and feeling and relaxing....keep going. Now, feel yourself explode with pleasure and warmth.....that's an orgasm!
Hey, I hope that one was good for you...I got off just picturing it.
Good luck. Orgasms are good for men and women.

Sometimes I really wonder....
As a male, how would I know that I am already passing wind?
What I wonder about is why some females have trouble experiencing a normal and natural bodily function?

It's just a jump to the left
And then a step to the right
With your hands on your hips
You bring your knees in tight
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane
Let's do the Time Warp again
Let's do the Time Warp again

If you have to ask, you definitely have not had one. You will know. Your muscles tense up all over your body. Your toes curl. You feel warmth and ecstasy for several seconds, and you can learn to make that feeling last even longer by just concentrating and being in the moment. Let yourself go and feel free to explore and enjoy your sexual side. If you aren't hung up, you'll have one, THEN you'll know what all the fuss is about!
