Isn't it funny how conservatives can't come up with credible ways to support Bush so they revert to bashing Clinton.
Some of them like to post qoutes from Democrats referencing their views about Sadam but have you noticed, none of them talk about invading Iraq? Maybe the Dems knew that it would be a cluster f&ck?
They also don't seem to realize that the resident of the Oval Office has little or nothing to do with economic cycles (yes, that includes Clinton) but still give credit to Bush for any economic 'good news'.
True Conservatives, party loyalist though they are, are now turning their backs on this administration. They are disgusted at how this group has stolen the label of conservatism and trashed it.
C'mon right wingers, admiting you backed the wrong horse is actually a sign of strength.

OK, news flash folks. INVADING IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9-11 AND HAS ACTUALLY INCREASED TERRORISM. That may be unpalatable for some of you, but it's true.

Locutus - what reference to the Constitution did I make reference to? Maybe you should look at what poverty was like before. I'm glad that you pointed out that Dems had nothing to do with any type of welfare reform (sarcasm off now).

Bush 1 was practically a Democrat Bush 2 While more conservative than Bush1 is still too Liberal for my tastes. I was not voting during his Primaries and I know that there were many potentially better (more conservative) candidates. That does not diminish the Office and many of what I consider correct decisions. I realize that the economy moves in spite of Presidents at most times. The US newspapers DO NOT. They bashed GW on any downturn and never gave credit to HIM OR congress as it it not crash and Burn as Osama intended and believed. Most conservatives Believed as Reagan did in the values taught by Conservative Democrats. As Ronnie said the party turned it's back on us and embraced leftest attitudes. Hillary was a Commie lover in college, Defended the Black Panther Murders during her law years. Big bill had the chance to set things right with his popularity but decided to think wtih his penis and abandoned the USA. The Iraq decision was not as poorly thought out as Dems make out and that is why you will not see them run as fast as Cindy Shehan would like. They are not stupid. When LIBs make GW out to be hitler the Neocons blast their hero Big Bill. Simple better dialog better answers. I Still want to kick your A SS though!

True the economy is ran by the people (thank god) but at least Bush is smart enough to know that cutting taxes for everyone as he did stimulates the economy. Yes the rich got a bigger share because they pay a bigger share. Why is that so scandalous to some liberals? And to think the rich got rich off the backs of the poor because they got a bigger tax cut is simply ignorant. Did you ever get a job from a poor person? I am not rich by the way far from it. Yes Bush has made mistakes and he has addmited as much on national tv. If you people would quit harping on the rights of our enemy and let our military do it's job without your ACLU up their butts then maybe we could win this thing. No I didn't back the wrong horse this time or the last time either. When it came down to Bush or Al Gore or Bush or Kerry come on there was no choice. Anyway your party has congress and the house now let's see how they fix all of Bush's so called screw ups. In less then a year I see the economy start to stagnate and unemploymet go back up under their leadership. And get them to fix the illigal alien thing would ya? Or are they gonna be just like the Republicans and only see them as potential votes, and not how they are dragging down our country.

I will take up the challenge. I am reading a book about presidential ghosts at the White House. One story in particular struck me:A person saw the ghost of Thomas Jefferson pacing back and forth, like he was deeply disturbed about something. The ghost is quoted as saying "government is too large, where are our freedoms? It is time for the second American Revolution."
I voted for Bush. It was a mistake. I thought that he was a Rebublican, and a conservative.I was wrong on both counts.
Some of the very Democrats who say that the war in Iraq is wrong are the same ones who voted for it. This was a mistake, but understanding politics I understand why they did it.I also understand why, now that the excrement is hitting the fan, they are jumping ship so to speak. The first lesson that a politician of either party learns is to CYA.
For what it is worth I dont think that Americans had a really good choice in the last two elections. One partys "horse" being as bad as the next. My point is that I felt (and still do feel) that Bush and Kerry had much more in common than was healthy for the country.
The war in Iraq is a huge mistake.I dont say that because WMD's have not been found. They have, though not in the quantity that Saddam had. That begs the question where are they now? The best case senario for us is that they are buried somewhere in the desert. The worst is that our enemies might have them. No, the war is a mistake because I believe that you cannot give someone democracy when they dont want it. If the people of Iraq would have wanted democracy they would have risen up in revolt, and hung Saddam from a sour apple tree. They dont want western style democracy. That would entail allowing the very behavior that they dispise the democracies of the world for.
Hanging Saddam was a mistake,we should have had absolutely nothing to do with that.I fear that the day will come when we will have to pay a price for that.It did serve one purpose however. It may have shown people that the one side is just as bad as the other over there, and like it or not,if they live by the tenets of their religion BOTH sides hate us.

You are right. Some say that democrat's answer to everything is cut and run, but in reality its not. These people arent looking at the bigger picture. Someone commented on welfare reform. During Clinton's reign, welfare was a system of betterment. It was designed (and worked) to help people out of poverty. When Bush tok over, it was just "here is your money, do what you want" At least dems were trying to get people back to school and better themselves so they could enter the workforce somewhere other than mcdonalds. That is what we needed. It obviously didnt hurt the economy any because we were in the "green" with our deficit and debt.
Conservativatism is a policy of moral stature. Liberals tend to have less morals. But from what i have seen, morals arent what makes a country prosper. The administration should be more concerned about the economy and not trying to force religion on people.
Republicans like to bash clinton for his one act of indescression (something that we should not have even been made aware of) just so they wont have to bash bush's lack of intelligence and stupid war.

high quality. a salesperson knocked on the door of a house in a sparkling housing progression and a female responded the door. He began, "Ma'am, i'm advertising the latest innovation in vacuums, it is the superb little device I surely have considered in a protracted time," and with that, he proceeded to offload on her new carpet a mixture of ketchup, salsa, dirt, grape juice, etc. as she watched, horrified. He reported, "If this vacuum would not freshen up that mess, i'm going to consume it!" She reported, "could you like a fork?! we've not have been given the capability on yet!"

No Democrat ever actually wants to fix anything. If they fix it you stumble bums wouldn't need them.
The war on poverty-The welfare system created and made monstrously large by the Democrats was actually creating more poor.Had it not been for a Republican congress that passed welfare reform it would still be getting worse.
It was the direct failure to deal with threats of attacks(and actual attacks) by a Democrat president that lead to an attack that liberals seem to want to forget ever happened.
The first job of the federal government is the defense of the nation.Liberals forget this and try to gain power over the citizens by subjugating them through federal programs. You spout about the constitution yet never read it.
Why do you liberals think that you can isolate 9/11 from the bigger picture of Islamic aggression. It is not contained in any one group or state,it is funded and armed by every single Mid-East country. This is not a small group of radicals but many and a very effective strategy to use against a "civilized" west. With out uniformed soldiers on a battle field you Libs are able to ignore a war. While your head is in the sand your country is infiltrated by those that hate you.Look at France or England, they are both suffering. With arms and money from any enemy these people can kill us without ever being connected to any government. They are the new face of warfare and if we do not grasp that soon there will be no defense.
I did try to address more than just yourself,so if it does not directly fit you know it is for others that it does fit.

Maybe if you would spend alittle time watching all of the events that have happened, you would see that our president is accused of creating everything wrong in the world today. History will prove whether this president did any good for our country and the world. So he leans alittle towards the middle, why is that bad ? If we all leaned alittle towards the middle more good could get accomplished.
