Well what I would suggest is don't do the whole bad-*** I'm so cool thing. Act yourself, a lot of the times a girl will be just as nervous around you as you are around her. Treat her with respect, women are people not things. Don't be afraid to show your emotions, but don't over-do it, that's just cheesy. If you are sad about a family member dying don't be afraid to cry, if she wants to go on a date and you're feeling down, don't be afraid to say, I'm really depressed maybe can we just chill, I need someone to comfort me. Let her know you like her, don't play hard-to-get, don't come on out and say. "Hey i really like you!" I mean you can, but all of my exes started off as just friends. One of the most effective things for me was after school, just go up to her and say, "Hey, I don't have to be home until (Blank) would you like to go out for lunch (or coffee, or a movie)". It's all really quite easy, it just seems really hard. Trust me I've always felt un-easy around the girl I like, but once you start being yourself things will work out. Also take things slow, don't push her or anything.

Stop trying.
As odd as it may sound, that's what you need to do. Be yourself. It shows if you try and it comes off as creepy.
Be yourself and let her get to know you. You'll chase her off if you try too hard.

be yourself cause if you fake it, she will catch on eventually anyway. If you are pleasant, kind,compassionate, truthful, interesting,etc. you will have no problem. Yes, there are some people like that who don't have to put on an act.

the way you move:) it determines your character..maybe a playful guy, gentleman,inconfident one....make it some style(don't ever try to move with big steps + arms swaying )
the way you dress..the way you speak to her..the way you look into her eyes.......BUT never try to "copy paste" other's acts, styles, it makes u + her uncomfortable..
