go to a site such as www.photobucket.com
set up a free account (there is no spam, and it guides you though how to set up a free account)
you can then upload your picture there (it will show you how to do that - it's very clearly layed out)
then it will give you a code.
you can upload hundreds of pictures, and they will always be there =)
p.s - getting the URL from "properties" only works if the picture is already on the net, this will not work from "My Documents". to be able to put it on the forum you will need to have somewhere to host the picture on the net. this is what photobucket does, it "hosts" your pictures!
I hope this helps =)

if the site allows you to upload then all you need to do is enter the full path from its location either on your local computer or its full URL.
example:
assume you have a file named mypic.jpg stored on your computers c: drive in the folder named my documents. The path you type in the address bar would be:
c:\my documents\mypic.jpg
likewise if the file you want is located on a webserver then you enter the full address of that server including the file name. assuming the same file name mypic.jpg to retrieve or submit from a webserver you would enter the following substituting the correct path for your picture/ video clip document etc. do not click the following it is an example and not an actual link.
http://servername.ext/subfolder/mypic.jpg
once you have entered the correct path then you click submit/upload whatever the server has called the process.
Remember the server may only accept files of a certain size and or file type so make sure the file you are uploading falls withing the accepted criteria for the site you are using.
If in doubt check the help section of the website you are attempting to upload too.

Usually on a public forum it will allow you to upload pictures, if you select this and select browse, it takes you to your documents, all you need to do is search through and go to your pictures folder or wherever else you store your photos, and upload them.

Easiest way:
Upload the document to an image hosting website. A good free one is "xs.to" which requires no annoying registration.
Then it will give you a code for embedding in forums

Agreed with the above, you need to put the image on the internet somewhere. There are plenty of free image hosting sites out there (just google search for "free image host".
Or your internet service provider (AOL, Tiscali, etc) normally provide free online web space, and you could host it there. Try going to your service provider's home page and seraching on their.
Good luck!
