In Saskatchewan the Goverment Employees are on strike.
They want 27% of 3 yrs,
They want to make as much or close to what RCMP make
I don' t think they Deserve it because they don't risk their lives! the way Police do!!
Does anyone else think this is Unreasonable?

You should read the newspapers more often. The SGEU dropped its initial bargaining position of 27% about a week ago and is now asking for about 15% over three years. The government is very close to that so, as columnist Murray Mandryk wrote last week, it is probable the two sides will soon settle soon for 12 or 13% over three years.

They don't want what the RCMP makes. The SGEU covers more than 12,000 workers; about 800 of whom are corrections workers. Only they -- about 8% of the SGEU -- want anything near parity with the RCMP.

Corrections workers' jobs are certainly tough, though whether they are as dangerous as the cops' work -- or maybe more dangerous --is a good question.

You might consider following the news a wee bit more closely.
