No due to their small size the air produces a parachute like effect greatly cushining their fall. If you are a buddist or hindu don,t worry sweeping is more likely to crush them.

Usually, the atmosphere (or a wind, as can be present on a 3rd level balcony) saves the ants from suffering a horrible death from a fall, since ants are light enough to be carried by air to some other safer (?) place. However, neglecting the effect of air resistance, yes, ants will die when dropped alive from such a height.

I don't know the correct proven answer but I'd almost bet a lot the ants have the ability to asorb the shock on most any surface and walk away.

It is a scientific fact that aunts' bodies are made of GLASS LIKE STRUCTURE....
This should lead us to imagine that Glass will break, but I think aunts are tooooooooooooo light to be damaged upon sudden impact with ground in case falling down from even a 100 th floor...
No, I dont think it dies...

No, but they'll surely die if you do it the other way and drop the balcony on them.

I would imagine their bodies are so light that the slightest wind current would keep them from hitting the ground hard enough to really be hurt.

In either case they would not die because of their absence of weight at impact

They don't. It would not matter. They are light enough to reach terminal velocity really fast.
