what would make me too demanding and expecting too much - what is it I should expect and give. My last friendship (best friend) lasted 11 years and she has just moved away (not too far) and has kept in touch everyday by email - suddenly she has decided she wants to move on get new friends (best friend) I know she needs friends where she is but there is no need to abandon me - it was working well for us seeing each other every few weeks taking it in turns to travel up to each other. - what did I do wrong?

Where are all your other friends? Is "abandon" really the right word for what she said or is that your personal feeling on it. My friend for 30 years and I have lived as far as 1000 miles apart and as close as two blocks and see each other only a tad more often when we are close. Most times, there is a season or a reason why you are friends and when the season or reason no longer exist it is time to move on. We all sometimes drift apart and usually can pick the friendship up if the drift pushes us together again. There is no blame to be placed on either person...it's just that life is fluid.

Dear boo
I know exactly how you feel .My last friendship lasted for about a year or so .We told each other everything .But unfortunately they
had to transfer and we both felt sad and wept as well .She rang me only after two months and I was so glad to hear her voice again .But suddenly there was a disturbance and the phone line broke up .I 've been waiting for her call ever since .
The truth is I don't exactly feel bad thinking about her ,because I've made new friends and the best part is they're the same age as mine .
All I can tell you is that l made this decision because since they're the same age as me even they're going through what I am going through right now .
The truth is life goes on and we've gotta find a way to go along with it.

Sometimes we expect too much from friends i recently feel abandon from a friend as well sometimes friends need their own space too its not easy just something in life we gotta life with.

She needs everyday friends and so do you. Maybe she found another friend and is busy. Just make contact occasionally. She will probably need your friendship again.

Hi, i think she got bored with you,don't discuss on the same(routine) topics with her. Whenever you send a mail send something interestingly so she will not leave you.
If a situation comes you tell her that you are always there to support her.
