the rich people usually have a good fate so they are mostly away from places of casualty. Owners are found at golf clubs and other place liesure like private resorts. day to day activities are monitered from remote and safe places. Even the top politicians are the same, they dont remain present at the battlefields. I am from India and was shocked to see(9/11) that happen on TV news and was very disturbed for a long time. Earlier the battles were fought between soldiers and civilians were out of it. In ancient times (Mahabharata) Soldiers used to fight only in day time and at night there used to be cease fire. It used to resume again in the Morning. Since world wars battles and wars are not taken limited to battlefields but have entered civilian areas. The rich want to be more and more rich at whatever cost it takes

My Uncle Died there... He was only a PA cop..They are not rich. the attacks occured too early for the BIG executives to be there in some cases they do not show until 10amEST. Many were there though, the evacuation effort was amazing somewhere around 10-15000 people were saved. By some measure many of the people that were killed on the 78th floor were Cantor Fitzgerald employees Many made $300,000.00 plus a year, pretty well to do by most standards. Not many Coorperate Multi Nationals were headquartered there.
