Do you honestly believe that you will gain the favor of Americans by hurling insults at us?
By the way, when was the last time you were out there on the front lines risking your ar$e?
Thought so.

First you have your facts a bit turned around.
When President Bush attacked Iraq the media immediately asked about links between 9/11 and Iraq.
President Bush definitively said No there are no known links between Iraq and 9/11. The reason Bush said we attacked Iraq (I say reason because stated and actual reasons may differ) was Saddam's refusal to allow UN inspectors access, and refusal to disclose or deny weapons programs. Both acts violate a UN resolution.
Now I do believe far to many people both in and out of the States don't look at the news with a critical eye. Most news (CNN, NBC, ABC, BBC, etc...) has an increasingly liberal bent and undertones.

Are you under the impression the American people have a choice? The gov't makes the decisions and the people don't have a choice. Most people are against the war but no matter how many people speak out and fight Bush on it we can't change it. Or it would have changed by now. For you to say Americans are naive and follow whatever we're told is actually a naive statement in itself. You choose to not like Americans based on what our Gov't does. We can only vote them in and out of office. We the people don't make all the other decisions in between we're just as victim as any other country is to the Gov't. I can't believe you think we're "trained" to believe our Gov't. That statement is so ignorant. I live here I know I don't have any choices except to pay taxes and die that's it not because I want it that way. If I could have my way I wouldn't pay taxes at all but there is such a thing as laws. Is that the problem we have laws and we have to obey them?

Personally, I don't understand how we invaded Afghanistan to get Osama, and ended up mediating a civil war in Iraq. I don't get it. It doesn't seem as though Saddam as awful as he may have done, was truly into terrorism against the US. Maybe I'm missing some info on this part.
Considering you have to skip right over Iran on the map to get from Afghanistan to Iraq, it makes no sense to me.

Your arguments apply to other countries as well as to us? If the media is so misleading how do you know you are right in criticizing us for our actions? You could be just as misinformed. Even if the war was started because of incorrect information, that doesn't mean their aren't reasons for us to still be their. Iraqis wouldn't have executed Saddam if he was a just and righteous leader, would they? We had no part in that. Do you think it was right for Saddam to execute innocent people right and left? That is basically why he was found guilty by an Iraq court of law. Should we have left this happen? That was just one of his crimes against humanity. At least think about that!

I am American, and as for what I know (as you put it), I have friends that live in Iraq. They are Shiites. They do not hold the same view of Americans that you do. They are very glad we took out Saddam, and they get along fine with American troops. Apparently you get your knowledge of America from your news media, which is a inaccurate as ours is. As far as trying to capture him, we are. Why haven't we? Well we have had people on our top ten wanted list in America that took us decades to find, and they were in America. One person can be hard to find especially if he is hiding in a country full of people willing to hide him. Of the terrorists that were on our list to capture, we have captured or killed more than 80% of them.
As for what the rest of the world thinks about us, have you not gotten it through your heads yet, that most of us Americans could care less what you think? We see most of Europe as nothing more than whiners and cowards that place their oil futures over anything else. Sorry but Al-Qiada bombs Spanish trains and they pull out of the Middle East. What did that tell Al-Qaida. Bomb America and someone is going to pay. If the world does not like that so what

answering your first question, the thing that's wrong with americans is that we're born and raised here. most of us don't know tish about anything but TV and video games. also, it's instilled into our brains at an early age (in our schools and by our parents) that america is so 'great'. most of us have a very, very limited knowledge of history and politics and base our arguments on 'opinion' (which is usually someone else's that we've heard).
as for current events, we'd declare war on mexico if we (the government 'we' that is) could get away with it. sad, but that's the direction the republicans are going. our democratic voting system is clearly rigged and there's little that us citizens can do about it.

Don't you dare blame and stereotype me for what my government does!!!! who are you to place all of us in one lump category? That would be like blaming all Germans for the holocaust or all Muslims for 9/11. I know of no one that is for this war but we can do nothing to stop it because our president does as he pleases!
