No, the majority is not always right and Galileo proved it when he showed that the Earth revolves around the sun and the Catholic Church and all it's constituents were wrong, and so on and so forth.

No the majority is not always right, it's just easier to lead a group of people if they all believe in your direction.

Truth is truth, and can be proven independantly based on hard observations. People can disagree with the truth, but then they would be wrong.

I feel pity for Galileo because he was oppressed by the Roman Catholic church for his discoveries and his proof that Copernicus was correct about the earth revolving around the sun. It is too bad that the church at the time was more interested in controlling the thoughts of others rather than allowing people to grow and expand their knowledge of the universe.

For me, the majority isn't always right. Take it from wrong decisions in a country's history. I cannot recall some of them, but there could be an answer...
