Use the corner of a facial tissue to just dab the spot. It should grab onto it without actually touching your eyeball.

I vote for Mattt's answer. Though the second part sounds like weird for me. However, my advise for you is to get your finger wrapped in tissue, so when you wipe some accidental lash that got in the corner, or just a mess in, it'd be painlessly. The reason why I chose on tissuing the finger is because of the nail dilema. That's why it can hurt if we're not careful with mascara accidents such as you describe. Hope my advise is helpful enough. G'luck

First of all, be careful!!! If you can't help but stab yourself, though, just tilt your head so that the inside corner of the affected eye points downward. Blink repeatedly, and gravity, combined with your own natural tears (which i'm sure will come) will move the mascara to the corner of your eye, and you can just rub it out with a tissue or your ring finger (it's the weakest finger, thus, the gentlest).

the best way to get something out of your eye is to take it out with salt water. your normal tears contain salt so this wil not hurt your eye. this is the reason why your eyes burn when you get water in them, it contains no salt. dont use a cotton swab or anything in your eye as some residue may come off and this would be alot more painful and maybe even damaging if it were to stick. simply tilt your head back and let the water droplets drop into your eye (you may need someone to help you do this) and you might want to invest in a waterproof mascara incase it runs our your eye. then simply wipe your eyes like you would if you'd been crying. it works believe me! hope this helps

Im not saying that i wear mascra lol , but have u tried this technique?
sept 1. used your fingers to pull your eyelid (tophalf) over your lower half of your eye lid.
step 2 Blow your nose.
This may sound wierd but wat happens is your sineses open at the conner of your eye and what ever is in your eye is pushed out. This works with dirt and other small things. this may not work first go, so try it several times.

After I have done my little dance(and lots of cursing) I use a cotton tip soaked in cold water, and softly wipe from inside to out with a rolling motion. Keep repeating with new clean tips until removed. I am now expert at removing, but still stab myself 1 out of 3 times!!!

Blink, blink, blink, and then when it's at the corner of your eye, wipe. Try to be careful, though.
Hope this helped!
