Sounds like perhaps you are a PCOS woman, but only because we can get a false positive at any time due to elevated LH levels. PCOS is the most common cause of female infertility and it has been proposed that up to 25% of women in their childbearing years suffer with it.
If you have not looked into it and you are having trouble TTC, follow the link below, it could be one possible answer.

I don't know the answer for you then. If you are not having trouble conceiving, and are just using the OPK's to find out when you ovulate and you are having false positives with none of the signs of PCOS, which can sometimes only show up after you have a child despite being something you were born with, I am at a loss. Sorry. Maybe ask you doc for a blood workup to find out why OPKs aren't working or use both an OPK and BBT to pinpoint O. Sorry

it depends what test you are using ?
With first response there is always 2 lines but you have only reached the LH surge if the test line is darker or the same as the ref line with internet strips it confuses me a bit as usually you only get 1 line and if pos you will get 2 but the test line should still be darker than ref.
So no you dont always have to have tests with one line to mean a neg !
Good luck x x x
