Complete honesty and commitment to each other and a common God. I can't express how important having the same belief system is. This will hold you together or lack of it will tear you apart. Live in reality. Don't have expectations beyond honesty and that will keep trust in the relationship. Be completely real, don't try to be someone you aren't. Be silly together. Have inside jokes. Keep a good sense of humor and for goodness sakes take care of yourself so you can live and long and happy life together.

1. Friendship - because "romantic love" never lasts.
2. Honesty - Because lies will destroy everything
3. Trust - Because without trust, you cannot love
3. Laughter - Because to laugh with someone
4. Support - Because if your partner supports you good or bad, your relationship will survive
5. Love - I'm not talking about romantic love, but real love, the kind that makes you smile when you think about the person.
