He was born in Gary, Indiana. Mom and Dad: Katherine and Joseph Jackson. He sang with his 5 brothers. They were known as the Jackson 5. Tito, Marlon, Jermaine, Jackie and later Randy are his brothers. Reebie, Latoya, and Janet are his sisters.
He was in the movie "The Wiz" as the scarecrow, with Diana Ross as Dorothy. He starred in his own movie short video for "Thriller".
He had started in showbiz at about 9 years old, and never had much of a childhood, since before that, his father was busy managing the older boys at home. Michael Joined later, when he was old enough.
When his brother Jermaine left the group to marry Hazel Gordy, Barry Gordy's daughter, the group stayed as the Jackson 5 for a little longer, with Randy replacing Jermaine, they even had a TV series called the Jacksons rivaling the Osmonds at that time. They also had a cartoon series in their name. Not long after that, the group started recording as the Jacksons, and not the Jackson 5 anymore.
Soon after, because they were growing up in their teen years, Michael came out with Off the Wall. He was now established as a solo artist, and not a member of a group.

But in 1984, after the success of Thriller, the grammy awards were like the Michael Jackson show, with Michael taking home most of the awards. He also danced the now famous moon walk on stage. Fred Astaire even called him afterward to tell him that he was fantastic. After that, Michael started doing, by none showbiz standards, what seemed to be eccentric behavior, like hanging around with his pet chimp Bubbles, and keeping exotic animals, which he had been doing since he went solo. Only now, it was more pronounced. He had to change his appearance, and he started having nose jobs and skin brightening treatments.
He seemed to not like how he looked or appeared to the world.
He built never land ranch as a childhood getaway, because he never really got to go to those amusement parks as a child. This lead to many bad people to take advantage of his good nature and try to set him up to get his money. The world felt that Michael was too old to try to recapture his childhood by having young children as his best friends. The world assumed that he must be doing something wrong, and one child's uncle brought up charges against him by saying that he molested his nephew. The boy had not complained, nor did his mother, about Michael, but in a money grubbing attempt, the uncle, who didn't even live with the boy, did. Michael just wanted that bad chapter to go away, but they subjected him to full body searches and took pictures of his genitals anyway. He then just paid the boy off.
This went away, and Michael continued as he had been doing, maintaining his ranch as a refuge for underprivilaged kids to come and play, and also reaching out financially to terminally ill children. We Are the World had come out, which he assisted by Quincy Jones, spearheaded. He had married Lisa Marie Pressley , and later divorced her, then he married a nurse and had 2 children, Prince Michael the first, and Paris.
Some years later, they divorced and Michael had full custody. Then he had another child by another woman, and named him Prince Michael the second, but they called him Blanket, because he was always hidden under one. Then came the interview with Martin Brashears, that rocked the world, and brought out that he was in fact letting children sleep in his bed during slumber parties. Even though the parents had brought their children to him, they still blamed Michael and tried to make him into a pedophile. He was later acquitted about 2 years ago.
