in new zealand, do u spell synchronised with a 's' or a 'z'?

i'm just kinda curious coz here in nz organised is spelt with an s instead of a z and a few other words follow in suit but im not so sure with synchronised

it is an "s" . more common amongst speakers in English commonwealth countries to spell specialise with an s than a z, to spell colour with a u and not color as do the Americans, both are correct so it's more of a regional variation, although you will find most spell check facilities on computers adopt American standard English and so tend to correct words that are strictly correct-like authorise to authorize.
