The above answers stating we use our entire brain are correct. It's a myth that we use only a small fraction of it.
This myth is perpetuated by a lot of ignorant woowoos like the few folks above who likely are answering honestly in their own case.

The entire brain. The brain is not just one lump which we have to use. The brain is a complex which has several different and specialized parts to it. The Brain Stem is used every moment of every day. It is what regulated your heart rate, your body temperature, your breathing and a host of things we all take for granite. Moving further up the brain is segmented in two major halves. Conecting these to halves is a structure called the

It depends on the person, and the day, cuz if I'm at school I use my brain much more than at home, but technically everything you do your using your brain, to draw you use the left side of it I think, and then to think you use some, to type this I'm using some. To walk, your brain automatically makes you walk without having to think "ok, right foot, now I move my left foot"

Eventually, we use almost all of it.
Throughout our lives, we suffer mini strokes, blood clots that kill off tiny portions of our brains, and most of them are unnoticeable, in fact an accumulation of such events is not really noticeable for a long time. (The condition is often referred to as "dimentia".)
Our brains have a limited capability of rerouting signals to perform bodily functions. As we get older, among the first noticeable effects is loss of short-term memory.
"End stage" dimentia is observed when bodily functions begin shutting down, when the brain has run out of material. Older people will have trouble swallowing, they'll lose control of their bowels, they'll lose coordination and muscle control, speach will become distorted, and eventually they'll lose enough necessary functions that their bodies will shut down.
