First of all accept my congratulations for writing down such a big question in just five words - I wish I could try to give answer in as lesser words.

I want to incorporate the Indian wisdom into this answer by quoting Saint Kabir "Sai Itna Deejiye Jaame Kutumb Sammaye, Main Bhi Bhookha Na Rahoon Mera Sadhu Bhi Bhookha Na Jaaye" - which when translated to English would mean that "Oh God! Give me that much - neither my family should reamin hungry nor my guest should go hungry". Just consider the mental level of this person - who is not praying to God for Gold or Land or Position or Status - but he is so contented by asking for the bare minimums for his family and guests/visitors.

Friend, even when I think about life and someone asks me how are you doing? I reply "very fine - I feel blesed". The reason being that I get good sleep, my digestive system is good and I get hungry around meal times, I am blessed with the love of family members and friends and continuous guidance of my teachers and I have the wonderful company of pearls of wisdom in the form of books - Therefore I am blessed and happy and contented.

I am sure the meaning/interpretation of the word contentment would vary from a person to person and so would the level of attainment - and that is why I started my reply by congratulating you over your wonderful question. There are some questions - replying to which you feel happy and my friend after replying to your wonderful question - I feel Contented.

there is no such thing as contentment no one is ever satisfied
fully even if money etc. wise any1 is satisfied
he/ she will never be satisfied in relationships
our mind controls our body mind is never satisfied
so 2 be contented one should pray 2 god no matter what religion
just pray 2 god only god can make 1 contented because god is everyting

Being able to confront all that which is. If you could confront every picture you had in your mind they would no longer have any effect on you. Hence you would have no fear of the future, cause you would be doing so much in the present moment without any disturbing pictures from the past affecting your behaviour that you would let the future take care of it's self.

Hope you are not looking for meaning in linguistic sense - which every one knows that. It is always equal to (No. of desires u fulfilled in your life / No. of desires u tried to fulfill). To be more satisfied /gratified - you may either increase the numerator or reduce the denominator. This is the philosophical meaning explained in mathematical form.

contentment in life is: being completely satisfy with what you
have enjoying what you do and where you go. Not always wanting
what someone else has.
