There is no free site that will really help you. You also need to be able to grade the coins you have. Best bet books, one a grading guide, the other a magazine on current retails, like Coinage magazine or Coins magazine, you will get 40% or less from a dealer. Even faster see a coin dealer. Many coins are worth more than face value based upon a variety of things; condition and materials being foremost.

Here are some sites to look through, but odds are the coin you havve is worth more as sentimental value to you than it is to a collector.

Example; I just paid $38.00 for a 1787 Druid Penny from England. Actual worth was probably only $12.00 but it had sentimnetal value to some of us who are looking for them so the price was higher naturally.

Try typing it into eBay as well.. you'd be surprised how many coins are for sale there.
