What do you think of them?

What difference can you assume have existed between teens who date and teens who don't?

One reason is media
But the other is way too much TV! Even grade school kids are doing things by example. Things we as parents did not know til we were 17 or 18 they know at age 6~! SAD~

But : if you go WAAAAAAAAAY BACK to the Little House on the Prairie Days, they started marrying at that age and earlier, even 12. SO SAD< eh?
Im voting for let our kids be KIDS while they can!

Nothing, I was one of them. I didn't have my REAL boyfriend until I was 14 though we would hang out at each other's houses or the mall or movies (of course with VERY strict rules and have parent supervision on us at all times and I wasn't allowed in a car until 16). He was 16, he was ex's best friend and my ex turned out to become my best friend. It was really strange but a fun time in my life. And it was not puppy love, some people do go through puppy love at that stage. But me and my then boyfriend dated for 1 year and 2 months but had some off and on months after the 2 months. It was a really good experience, but horrible heartbeak when breaking up but it ultimatly made me stronger in the end and pulled me closer to my mom.

Teens who date get a different bond especially if there in love, not the puppy love. They get that someone they can tell everything to, etc. Teens who don't well they don't ever have to go through heartbreak but also could be missing out on a guy they really might like. The only friends I know that have NEVER had a boyfriend are the ones that only spend all there time on schoolwork, they barely even hang out with friends.

But to each their own.

Our perception of a proper time to start dating is heavily influenced by our culture. In some cultures girls are married at 13 or even younger. Who's to say what is the right age. The age they start dating should be up to them without pressure from society or family to start earlier or later than they want to.

I was not allowed to date until I was sixteen. PERIOD.

I think that the reason that young kids date so early is because parents are afraid (for whatever lame reason) to tell them no.

Kids don't need to date until they are in high school. They can have a little boyfriend or girlfriend in school, but car dating? Ha! forget it. Not in my house.

Young teens who date, in most cases, lose their viginity younger than the ones who don't. I understand that a teen losing their virginity is inevitable. You can't rule your household with an iron fist, or else your teen will rebel MORE. I can, however, limit the age that they can go out on a date, unsupervised, making it difficult for them to find themselves in that situation.

I don't think badly of those teens. I think that their parents, however, need to remember who the parent is.

magazines and movies I think.
I think there are two kinds of teenage-dating.. One is if they just wanna show off or try it out but considering my daughter (she´s 15) I know it´s not only that reason, she´s dating a boy for 3 weeks now and they really love each other I would have thought teens are too young to do so but my daughter doesn´t play, she really takes it serious.

Because teenagers these times get mature faster than teenagers 50 years ago. What's wrong with dating at 13-14?I had my first boyfriend at 14 and we still love each other very much and we learned so much from our relationship.

The rules for me as well as my childen were that dating and driver's liscense go hand in hand. If you're old enough to drive at 16, you could date. Even then, there was a curfew. Thirteen & Fourteen year olds haven't even fininished puberty yet. Most young people who wait make wiser choices and can handle tempting situations a little better.

Wow, through the style you wrote that, you sounded truly mature. in the previous you truly pronounced you have been a teen i concept u have been the determine lol. anyhow i believe you, while a persons' mature i think of then they must have a boyfriend, however the element i think of is dumb is that loads of little ones "date" in center college are not truly relationship with the aid of fact they in no way communicate or dangle out! possibly thats only what is going on at my college....

Because their in co ed schools and their moms aren't home to raise them. I think their idiots. They should get their tubes tied if their going to go out and have sex. Their too young to be dating as they have no idea what sex is all about. They can get an STD or end up pregnant. See this is why there needs to be seperate schools for boys and girls. Then this won't happen.
