i know there is no way of knowiing if your having a boy or girl till you go for your 20 week scan an even then it can be wrong but i thought i would be fun to read any old wife tales people have heard and if they were true for them.

Oops, sorry. Hope you didn't get mad. Well I've heard from someone which said that if you have a girl, your belly is more up, if you call it that. If you're having a boy, your belly appears to be lower.

My mom, relying on her knowledge of old wives' tales, was so sure I was having a girl. Well, yesterday I had an ultrasound and they found a penis! So unless my little girl has a penis, these methods are all a load of crap. Of course, now my mom is claiming she told my husband and I it was a girl because if we agreed, my mind would tell the baby to do the exact opposite!

When I was pregnant I was REALLY clumbsy (more than once I dropped plates full of dinner), and everyone said it was a sign I was having a boy.
I now have a gorgeous 4 1/2 year old little boy!

If you have bad morning sickness then you are carrying a girl, if you have none then it is a boy.
If you crave sweet tastes then its a girl, and savoury it's a boy.
These were very true for me, I had no sickness and I craved mini cheddars and gave birth to a beautiful healthy little boy.
Another old wives tale is that if you suffer with heartburn during your pregnancy then your baby will be born with a full head of hair. Again this was very true in my case, I even had heartburn while i was in labour and my son had a full head of jet black hair!

i have heard that if you have really bad sickness, it's a boy, and if you are just tired all the time, it's a girl. It was correct for my daughter, but I've only had one so not the best test! Hopefully by the end of this year I'll be re joining the new mommy club!

That if you have heartburn it means the baby will have a full head of hair... I didn't have any heartburn, but my baby had thick black hair!!
Ring on a thread:
If it sways from side to side = boy
If it goes round and round = girl
Also if you carry your baby all on the front means boy and if you carry on the side and back means your're having a girl.

apparently if u get a large bum ur having a boy. so lazy evn b4 birth they just lay bk n let u do EVERYTHING! lol. n i tried that Ring thingy about finding out what ur having....i tried it twice n it said i was having a boy the 1st time, then a girl...so...yea...unless me baby's a bit of both (cuz it sure as heck aint twins) i'm far from convinced. now u hav d perfect excuse 4 asking 'does my bum look big in this?' lol

I have heard that boys carry more at the front and girls more round the sides. Who knows if it is true?

these were all said to mean your having a boy ...i just had a baby boy and these all applied to me.....no morning sickness, belly real low, craved salty/sour stuff, gained lots of weight and I had lots of heartburn the last 5-6 weeks and he has lots of hair...thats all the doc kept saying as i was pushing..."mom he has alot of hair" and thats the first thing everyone especially strangers point out...his hair. hoepfully it wont fall out

I have 3 children 2 boys and girl. For me the pregnancy's were the same other then with my daughter I was far more sick. I had morning sickness with my boys but with my girl I was so ill.

while in pergancy many says boy or girl with the type of walking done by the lady. even the increse in which side can also detect. but i will like to say what are urs wife internal feelings her feelings internal that comes true . not what she whants or she is expecting but her iner voice tells her.
