protozoa is a "phylum or subkingdom of animals" -- meaning it is within the kingdom of animals -- though I suppose it might be considered an atypical example of animalia -- and animals are distinguished in part by "cells that lack cellulose walls." Maybe they are making an exception for "acellular" protozoa.

because protozoans are very primitive and therefore simple. The 'a' in acellular Acellular means 'one', so u can apply it to asexual, too.
