Pregnancy tests are like soda: they cost pennies to manufacturer, but the resale markup is huge. In this case, the low price really is a great deal! Many women have reported accurate early detection with these $1 bargains. I have experimented with many of them myself and have never seen a false positive. Some have faint evaporation lines, but most tests do. So long as you know what an evap line looks like and how it differs from a true positive, save your money and shop at Dollar Tree!

I took one when I knew that I was pregnant last time and it was accurate, I took one first with this pregnancy and it was accurate (positive) just a day after my missed period. I took another name brand one the next day then the dr confirmed 3 days later. I think they work using the same basic concept as any other just not the convienent strip to urinate on, I had to collect into a cup, not included and use the provided dropper to add urine to the test. I think its a good place to start, just be sure that if you get unexpected results or have problems that you follow up with a doctor. Good luck!

No, Dollar store pregnancy tests are the ones that drug stores had to get rid of because they had been on the shelves too long. So they sell them to the dollar stores just to "break even" at tax time. (ALL unsold merchandise is taxed in retial). Then it sits even longer on a shelf until it is purchased way past the expiration date...In a doctor's office the tests are "fresh" they don't sit on a shelf for longer than a few days and then they are discarded because they are no longer accurate.

You would be better off getting a name brand test. The dollar store kind are probably generic and not made to be as high quality as the name brands. And, the ones that the doctors office use are the same quality as the name brands.

It depends. Yes, they are product that other company have had for a while and sell them to cheaper stores to move along. Since you do not know how long they sat, you really have no idea. Do you feel preg? I *knew* even before I took the tests. Go to Family Planning or a teen clinic in your area. They do it for free and they are not allowed to contact your parents

No , they are not as accurrate as the DR's office, but for a dollar you get a pregnacy test (usually two are in a pack) and if you spend half as much as the regular store (you buy five of them from the dollar store) and they all come up positive, I woudl bet you are pregnant.

Yes, they are made by the same manufacture, and in fact when i went in for all of mine, they produced what i had JUST used and charged me 20.00 to put it on paper for a clinic!

In one case, the package was a storebrand generic! LMAO!
Hope this answers your delicate issue, and best luck in whatever the outcome you want! :) hugzzzz
