Any other leader probably would have been better than Bush.

Many. I think that many people could do better than Bush has.

That's exactly why two of the big contenders for 2008 are moderate, and sometimes liberal on issues. The Republican voters want to distance themselves from Bush, otherwise they'll suffer the effects of him for years to come. Normal Republicans (the voters) are nothing like President Bush (most of my family is Republican).

That's exactly why people like Rudy Giuliani & John McCain are so popular right now. These gentlemen will more than likely appeal to disgruntled Republicans voters, Independents, swing voters, and far-right Democrats than people like former Governor Mitt Romney will.

President Bush cannot run again. i think that John MC Cain will get the nomination and have a very good probability to win the presidency. I think that the Democrats will have difficulty uniting due to so many prospective candidates. I think there will be an independent that will once again screw the Democrats out of the big house!

Perhaps the Democrats should explore who they have nominated... Kerry? Gore? We would be a lot worse off if either of them had been elected.
