Hey Pittsburgh -
My fiance's family just moved back to Pittsburgh after many years away and they love it! However, they don't know much about the city anymore. We live in Japan but will be in Pittsburgh this summer to get married. We want a small simple wedding where we can have a small reception immediately afterwards. Our total party will be around 15 -20 people. Outside would be great - or someplace we could be outside and go inside if it rains... Any ideas! Thanks All!!!

(By the way - we are vegetarian liberal hippy-types - in case that info. helps inspire you! Peace!)

Schenly Park at the Phipps Conservatory outdoor garden would be beautiful I'm guessing cheap so you should look up Phipps Conservatory because I know people do in fact get married there.

Not sure if the city allows it, but why not try a wedding at the West End Park. It has the best view of the Golden Triangle of downtown. Or, maybe your wedding party could ride the incline up Mt. Washington for another view of the city and have your wedding on one of the observation decks that view downtown. As far as the reception, you should check out some of the restaurants in the university area of Pitt and Carnegie Mellon...you should find something there to suit your tastes (maybe they could cater the event for you).
