No, although Martin Luther King IS mentioned in it. The movies about another man who was speaking out at about the same time. However where as Martin Luther was more about passive action Malcom was a lot more agressive in his campainging for black rights.

the Movie was about an African American Muslim that name was Malcom X he at first did not like Martin Luther King because one thing Martin Luther King was a christian and another thing Martin Luther King want peace but as time when by Malcom X visit an Muslim country and saw how many nation was treated equal black,white,asian,muslim,african,etc,etc, they all was muslim but he learn how every man on this earth should have right not only one he came back a change man and started to do the same as Martin Luther King to talk about Peace and Love and turn your other cheek and that what got him kill,because the member of his group believe he was turning into a uncle Tom who want the white man to rules over him as he worship everything those White men do to him even rape,kills,his family.
