Ugggh I really can't stand dealing with computer problems as I dont know what i'm doing and frankly don't care that much other than my work . Ignorance is bliss? lol. Yea i'll accept that.

My ? is this.

I cannot get a program to install on my Inspirion 6000. Followed the instructions, put in the CD ROM it's not working. There is not option to even double click on "setup.EXE". Any help?

The program is an Internet Security one. There are two discs . I went into "my computer" and followed all the instructions. I was also told to disable the current firewall, spyware etc. Still nothing is working

Odds are that the "autorun" feature is disabled or not properly functional on that specific CD.

Go to Windows Explorer to access the files on the CD.
(usually the "D:" drive)
Look for a file called "setup" or "install".
Double-click that file.

I would open MY COMPUTER, then open the CD drive that the program disk is in. Then, you should see a SETUP or, on older programs, an INSTALL file. From there, you can double-click on that name and it should give you further options. Maybe post what the program is in order to get a better idea of what you're trying to install?
