It is hard for us at this point to determine what is wrong with your system. You will need to provide more info such as processor speed, memory size, space left on harddisk, and version of windows installed. Plus what you have done on the system recently just before problem started happening (e.g. installing application, downloading something from the net, visiting unsafe website, changing something in the registry, etc).
Problem could be virus or spyware infestation, nearly full harddisk, highly utilised CPU, or simply trying to run XP with only 256MB of memory :)

First, I would hit ctl-alt-del and sort (assuming Windows XP) by CPU and see what programs are using the most resources. Second, I would go to START, RUN and type in MSCONFIG and uncheck anything you are not using. When in doubt, type in the name in the list in Google and see what it represents. Third, do a spyware and antivirus scan and clean out your computer of unwanted programs.

i assume u mean very slow. u need to provide us with more information on your computer in order for us to give you a accurate answer. like brand, model, processor speed, how mcuh ram you have, how many gbs are in your hard drive. it all comes down to the specs.

see if your hard drive is full. right click the c: drive and go properties.look at the pie chart. if it is near full then run disk cleanup and get rid of some stuff.
