maybe Jamarcus RusselQB from LSU, he out played Quinn. Quin hasn'twon the big game yet. Russel could be great, he's a daunte culpeper type of qb. Maybe even Troy Smith QB Ohio St. he was heisman trophy winner. he could spark the team.
Really I dont think a qb will be the best move. What they need is a running back. Lamont Jordan went down and the run game went to shite. They should consider Darren McFadden RB from Arkansas. He was top 3 for heisman voting. A solid run game could really turn the raiders around. They can also consider Marshawn Lynch from Cal. Lynch or McFadden would be a great addition to the team.
Give Andrew Walter and Aaron Brooks another year. Let Walter develop. I liked his stuff. Aaron Brooks is also a good qb. If he has strong supporting cast Raiders can become good.
they don't need to draft a lineman. They should bring in some free agents. The line should be the focus of the team. Get a 2nd rounder lineman not first. 3rd pick a WR.

I previously answered this question on a different post and chose Calvin Johnson WR from Georgia Tech, but after watching a few bowl games... I am declaring JaMarcus Russell QB from LSU as the 1st pick in the 2007 NFL Draft (but only if he skips college and enters the draft, which I think he probably will)...There's alot of people saying Brady Quinn but Russell has better height, size, running ability and arm. Once the scouting combines begin Russell will be known as the #1 QB prospect in the draft.

My hope is that they trade down and take a running back and stock up the O-Line. We need offensive players and this draft just has to cover it. The defense is looking solid.
We haven't had much luck in recent years with players at the top of the draft anyway and Quinn hasn't exactly impressed lately.
This draft could really make or break the team over the next 5 years.

First hire Dennis Green, he got alot of production from Randy Moss, maybe Jerry Porter could work out. That way do not have to draft a WR. Draft JaMarcus Russell, or trade down and draft Marshawn Lynch.
1. Hire Dennis Green before Draft
2. Draft JaMarcus Russell or
3. Trade down with Arizona, they want OT Joe Thomas to protect Leinhart real bad. 1st rd 5 pick along 2nd rd or/and player(Green will know)
4. Draft Marshawn Lynch former Oakland Tech Star.
Menifee----Eli Manning did Chargers a favor---would you trade Philip Rivers, Shawn Merriman and Nate Kaeding for Eli Manning
the players drafted from picks acquired. Lopsided trade-- Chargers A+

Brady Quinn or Troy Smith, both two promising players, I'd take Quinn because the Raiders need a good QB, Smith is good, but I see a lot more potential in Quinn.

I agree with the trade pick tactic.
Although this is not a particularly good draft, I would trade the number 1 pick for a late 1st round and two second round picks, if I could get it.
The Raiders have too many holes (I'm not talking about Randy Moss' or Warren Sapp's mouths) to fill.
Maybe they could get Eli Manning and two picks from the Giants...

i say they shud trade the pick and a player for a proven player and a later pick in the draft...not much talent coming outta college this year....raiders need all the help they can get and the Lions might be makin a push to get Quinn and might give up something good for that first pick....but if they do pick, i guess they shud go with Quinn or if Russell goes out, take him....

Brady Quinn. Brooks has one more year left on his contract. The Raiders still need to get a coach first.

Quinn, it hasta be Quinn... I myself would trade down get an extra pick and take Troy Smith or even Brian Brauhm, because theres sumthing about Quinn i dont love... maybe its how easily he was flustered against any good pass rush and started throwing ball into ground or high...but theyll go with the chalk and take Quinn.

Brady Quinn, because their QB's are garbage along with most of their offense, the Defense is good thou especially the DB's.
I would agree with Peterson by if the QB's can't pass the ball it makes it alot harder to run when teams start stacking the line!!!
