Al-qaeda radicals go home to watch reruns and leave us alone? ie. "Peace". (Does anybody actually believe this?)

Iran proliferates nuclear technology?

Iran grows in influence? Moderate Arab countries grow in influence? They cooperate with each other, or compete with each other for influence on the world stage?

If the USA were to leave Iraq it woudl implode. What happened when Afganistan was left to its own devices in the 80's? How long has the Middle East been an area of Conflict? 1000 years? 2000? Try since recorded history. Will Islam be a unifying force in the Middle East? Are the Sunnis and the Shiites at war with eachother now? Why? For a Peaceful religion, Islam seems rather dangerous to its faithful's health. I think that if the USA were to pull out of Iraq, Iran would wholesale dominate Iraq and the bloodshed would become even greater.

Instead of hiding in the shadows and killing Americans, the insurgents (Al-Qaeda is a small part but not huge) will turn their attention to the Iraqi government and to their rivals and will come up from the shadows. The various militias will fight to seize control. The fragile constitution will essentially disapear and free elections will become impossible. There will be a nasty civil war with major genecide. The Kurdish areas will be mostly quiet, but the Kurds will quietly secede from Iraq causing problems in the adjacent Kurdish areas in Turkey. The mostly Sunni and mostly Shiite areas will see a power grab among their own. Once that is over, the minorities in each area will be driven out or eliminated. Finally, there will be a power grab between the border areas of the Sunni and Shiite sections of Iraq. The Shiites will come into the fold of Iran (although not entirely becoming part of Iran, but will be a mere puppet state) leaving the Sunni controlled areas to essentially set up shop as a nation independent of both the Kurdish and Shiite areas.

Iran will gain in influence over the whole area, but its influence will be tempered by the moderate elements in Iran who are slowly making inroads again after a political take over of the Islamic Fundamentalists a few years back.

Other states in the region will become less stable, such as Saudi Arabia, which has its own home grown terrorist problems. Oil prices throughout the world will rise at the same time China's thirst for oil becomes greater and greater. As such, Inflation will be a problem due to oil, but will cause more people to look into alternative fuel sources.

The good news is that the Muslim nations will begin to fight amongst themselves instead of collectively pointing the finger at the United States. As oil becomes less necessary, the otherwise useless areas of the Middle East will eventually fall back into tribalism and abject poverty.

In the mean time, the prestige of the United States falls and it will be many years before a president feels he has the political ability to enter into a war, so many countries, such as Iran and North Korea, will feel they can do anything and the US won't touch them.

The hole that we have created in a country opens to engulf Iraq in civil war. Kuwait, Said Arabia, Iran, and Syria all get involved because they all have members of Shiite and Sunni clans in there country.

Terrorists blame the United States and gain more popularity than ever before. A new wave of fundamental Islam races throughout the Middle East and they either engulf themselves in war until they can no longer sustain such efforts at which point they return to normal lives with a completely different map, or they actually band together and assault the rest of the world.

I don't know if staying is going to really help anything either at this point however.

None of the ones you selected, it will always be a blood bath and people suffering and torchered. It as we all know won't be by Sadam's hand, but it will be just as basd if not worse. I don't know if you are old enough to know anything about the fall of Saigon, but this will be much worse. Lets just hope that our government don't bring some of them back with the military like they did when Saigon fell. They brought those mongs here and took them to the nothern wooded area, minnesota and Wisconsin and had trouble with them since. They tresspass and try to hunt on private property and they are caught at night trying t steal and eat dogs. Do you remember the slaughter in Haward Wi. a few years ago, a Mong was tresspassing on private property hunting and a group of two families was also hunting there, one was an owner of this land. So he was walking up to him to nicely tell him that he was on private property and the Mong murdered him, as the other members of the family came to his rescue, the Mong shot them as they all came out of the tent and on their snow mobilies. The only way they caught him was a dying deer hunter wrote his hunting number tag down as he lay dying. I believe over 9 died that day by this person that should have stayed in saigon! Clinton could have had bin laden but wanted to slide out a clean slate and be this pervert, and just think, the Jordian government had him and was going to give him to Clinton, clinton said naaa.. just think...........Just think avbout this too, do we need the clintons in the white house again? he is running for President! The wench!

We go back to far more dangerous issues:

Healthcare
Prescription Drugs
Minimum Wage
National Deficit
Gay marriage rights
Abortion rights
Social Security

All of these things have the potential to do far more harm, and cost more American lives than 9/11 did.
