tyranny only breeds defiance....

dont be too strict with her, she'll snap n develop n aversion towards studies altogether...

motivate her, reason with her, she is not dumb, she doesnt want to work, thats all... so she'll understand once u stop forcing her n ttry to make her understand why its important...

set time for evrything, even watching tv n everything....

n dont make it seem like a burden to her.... she may study for now but she'll never enjoy it tht ways

u cant make ppl do wht u want them to do... u can, but they'll never be happy tht ways... ask her whts wrong, help her... she already has trouble not liking studies, dont compound her problems....

connect more with her n though u can never be an absolute friend to her, u can try....

. Most children do the same. Pl check , she knows all the subjects that she is going to write her exam(discussion) Involve her good friend for a chat and find out how much time she spends in studying. Good talk by her favourite teacher can help to over come the situation. If you area parent who police the child change your style and talk to the child and explain that TV viwing is not bad but not at the time of studies. Prepare a schedule in which TV seeing appears first followed by reading ,writing \, discussion and viewing of questions of previous exams. Take to a counsellor for a chat.

I was like them while I was in the 10th grade, unfortunately you have to let them realize they need to on their own. My parents didn't push me but at the end of 10th grade I started working harder- and now I'm going to NYU. So, let her figure out for her self- because then she'll do it for her self which is what you really want because then it'll be permanent. If you want to like- give her little pushs, maybe you could start talking about her future. that usually sparks the sense of ' oh god, I need to start working' Good Luck!

First of all you have to change your child friend means if his friends will be hard worker than he will also. And you have to always say to your child any work aganist of his choice that time he will think study is better than this work.

i am myself a student.so going by her thought process.I'll advice you to give her a small break for 3 days.tell her she won't have to study she can spend her days in any way she wants.and believe me she will herself want to study.because we often tend to avoid doing things which we are asked for at the most.so give her time i truly believe she will choose the right path.it is better to waste 3to4days than to waste her future .ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR DAUGHTER'S BOARD.

I would suggest hiring a tutor.

A set out time and routine improves concentration and study.
