Wow someone have an explanation for this plz!!

Bluetampa is right. The Miami and Little Miami rivers are in Ohio. Miami, Florida does not get some sort of magical right to the name "Miami" any more than George Bush gets all rights to "George". It's not actually all that uncommon of a name--offhand I know there is also a Miami, Oklahoma and a Miami, Arizona.

the Miami Indian tribe was there years ago. We have a saying "Miami was a college before it was a city in Florida" Miami was founded in 1809.
