Reality is a little bit more than perception.

The reality is that if you had no money... and nobody would help you or even give you a slice of bread... unless you start stealing... you would be dead within 3 weeks from starvation.

So... how real do you want it...

There is only one reality in this world... it is still the law of the jungle... even if it is a concrete jungle... it is everyone for himself... and only the strong survive...

That is the only reality you need to know about.

To literally I am afraid. Just think a minute, about what they are saying. Then pinch your arm, does it hurt? Yes so that is not perception, you have pain, and there is no mistaking or interpretations other than your own about that reality right?
Okay now if someone wants to ask you on a level from 1-10 how bad was the pain, now that would be open for opinion, basing it on how much pain you can take versing their pain tolerance. That is acceptance of someone else reality. But that is not proof, it is not able to be felt by you, his/her pain, and visa versa, so that is a guess in reality, which makes it speculative. get it?

Well,

What we perceive is to a certain extent, what IS. Think about those optical illusions you see, do you see the young woman or the old hag? [1] Or, (hee, hee) this one? [2]

Perception, that is, what we see, hear, etc. can be fooled with. On a second by second basis, we have to evaluate the data coming in as real or not real. If we do so successfully, we are considered sane, if not, we're insane. But think on this: what if the voices are REAL, and the rest of us have simply learned to tune them out? To a psychotic, those voices ARE real, already. {3}

So, to certain extent, what you see really IS what is...and sometimes it "Means what you think you saw, you did not see."{4} Haven't you ever been up late and thought you heard a noise or seen something out of the corner of your eye? Are you sure you DIDN'T? How sure? Horror movie sure? Heh, heh...

Hope that helps...

These statements mean that what is reality for one person is not reality for another person. Much of what people call reality is colored by their prejudices, experiences, emotions and what they have been taught to believe. As a person learns more their reality changes because their perceptions of the world, themselves and life has changed. For example terrorism has become a "reality" to many Americans since 911, because it has become something we have seen, heard and reacted to emotionally. Scientists are beginning to proveand accept as reality what people of faith have said for thousands of years- prayer can help a person heal, negative emotions can make a person sick, folk medicine can really work. What was once hearsay, superstition and faith has been supported by scientificmeans- like bio-feedback machines, ekg and brain wave studies.Their perceptions changed their reality,.

Perception is reality. For most people, we tend to believe what we see and interpret it according to our belief systems.

To accept something as real that is not real is bad juju and takes you life along a lie.

This is none other than the concept of relativism, and it can be a slippery slope if you subscribe to it. The crux of these statements is the supposition that there is no absolute truth. You may take this statement just at face value, or you can apply this concept to all areas of life. Be careful.

it means however we interrupt our situations, therefore our perception, becomes our realilty. If you accept your perception as correct, then you believe it to be real.

Therefore however you choose to veiw or react to a situation becomes your reality and if you choose to believe than its real.

Meaning we can choose how we veiw things and our state of reality.

It is literal actually. A good amount -- maybe even most -- of what is "real" to each of us is our perception.

How we view of even if we believe a god. What our favorite foods are. Whether we prefer blondes or brunettes. If a certain sound is music or noise to our ears.
