would this be good for gaming?; plz take a min and go through it:

Processor Type AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4600+
Processor Speed 2.2GHz
RAM 2GB PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM (Exp. To 4GB)
Hard Drive 250GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
Graphics Card Integrated nVidia GeForce 6150LE
Cache 512KB + 512KB L2

and maybe i can put a ATI X1650Pro PCI-Express 512MB Video Card, if that graphics card isnt good enough....

And, should i bother thinking of upgrading to Vista, this computer will have Windows Media center 2005 edition already installed.....

That integrated graphics card definitely won't cut it. you will need a dedicated graphics card for it to be a good gaming machine. I would wait a while for MS to fix all the bugs on Vista before upgrading. Maybe wait six months or so after the release.

The graphics is the only shortcoming. I would stick with an ATI card as AMD and ATI are working together.
If you can afford it I would move up a couple of notches from the X1650Pro to get the best results. I will not suggest a specific card, just buy the MOST card you can and as you didn't mention your power supply, make sure you have at least 500 watts.
Good luck!

I have almost the exact same system except I have the 4200 system and they are right the graphics card won't play the newer games or if it does it is dumbed down so much it isn't really worth playing.. I just upgraded my graphics card to a nividia geforce 7900 gt ($170) and my system is moving along awesome now. I don't know if you were looking to upgrade but if you want to play new games it will be a must. Another card you could look for is geforce 7900 gs is a card that will give you decent bang for the buck. Hope this helps ya out

The Sims is definitely relaxing. It takes up fairly fairly some your computer memory yet its incredibly good. additionally video games like Sonic and super Mario are good. however the Sims is my primary :D

You are obviously looking at an HP Media Center.
Great machine.

Yes, you will need a better video card....it's the only weak link.
(get one with an S-Video out so that you can hook it up to a big screen TV)

Other than the integrated video, it's a kick-a$$ gaming rig.
I wouldn't waste my time with Vista yet - let them work out the bugs first.
