There is nothing set in stone about when hair grows on the cheeks or lips or wherever else. Take a look at a picture of your father when he was your age.
Some ethnic groups have more facial hair than others, Asians tend to have the least, along with Native Americans.
I knew a couple of real waste cases a long time ago, they were brothers, 13 and 14 years of age with full beards. They would go drink in bars without anybody asking any questions.
OK perhaps not the perfect role models but in any case, the questions of when does puberty start and when do I do this or that in terms of physical development are so subjective, and the lengths of time considered "normal" to start anything are so vague and so far apart that the only thing one can say and be really accurate about it is that a six year old girl with a full beard would probably not be exactly normal.
Everything else is up for grabs.
If you worry about it it won't make the hair grow faster, or slower.
But to ease your mind on what seems to be bothering you very much, nope. Nothing at all wrong.
Stop letting other people tell you what is normal.
They probably have no idea either.
a lot of them are answering questions just to get the 2 points. Not like they are going to be able to cash them in anywhere but there is that collector's urge.
Have fun. Don't hurt yourself.
That's the most important part.
If you care to spend 50 bucks and make a doctor's appointment he will tell you the same things I just did, and of course you have to pay him.

In some people, the hair follicles are simply more resistant than they are in other people, and gradually they will become active at some point, (although there are men with completely normal hormone levels that never really can grow a full beard throughout their whole life). It doesn't really have medical significance as long as your testosterone levels are normal, and chances are at your age they're pretty high. You just have hair follicles that are more resistant than average.
DHT has a stronger effect on hair follicles than testosterone, btw. Young men your age tend to have very high levels of testosterone but DHT levels that aren't as high. High testosterone levels are what are desirable, and what help to give you good musculature and athleticism, and a high sex drive and other benefits. As men age DHT tends to rise somewhat and testosterone falls. This DHT is much more potent in activating hair follicles, and is also what causes baldness on top of the head, and also increased body fat and less musculature.

No there is nothing wrong with you. Your hair follicles just didn't grow out while you were in puberty. Look at the bright side you don't have to shave :)

Dude thank God EVERY morning you wake up and don't have to shave. I have seriously fantasized about that before. Yeah, you'll never have your goatee phase or your weird full beard phase but chickies will always dig that baby face look. Play to it dude, you're set!

No. A lot of guys I know who are your age don't need to shave.
Consider yourself lucky! Many girls don't like facial hair, and guys who have it grow quickly all say it's obnoxious to care for.
