Not currently.
As far as I know, gay marriages are legally recognized only in the state in which they are performed. It wouldn't be legally binding under the federal government, which is what grants citizenship.
Sorry.
Maybe the laws here will change, but it might take a while. You'll have to get your green card some other way.

No, unfortunately the federal gov't passed a law that means it cant recognize same-sex marriages, though you will be a state resident I believe. It's a tough question but I dont believe so. And Massachusetts is the state allowing gay marriages. Vermont, along with Connecticut and New Jersey come February allows gay civil unions, while California allows "domestic partnerships"

Since immigration law is federal and marriage is state, the two mix as well as oil and water. So, no, even if you marry a same-gender person in a state that accepts gay marriage, it will not qualify you for immigration. Now if we were talking Canada here, then the answer would be yes since federal immigration rules allow for same-gender couples.

I do believe that you can not gain citizenship through gay marriage because, even though the state of Massachusetts has legal gay marriage, there is no recognition outside of that state or through the federal government which includes the department that issues green cards.

Nope, our Federal government recognizes NO Same sex marriages of any state or any other country! NONE, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH!
and the way things are going...even the ONE state that actually has legal same sex marriages are about to loose that as well!
I really hate to dash your hopes, but Sammy is 100% wrong...I don't think she fully understood what you were asking.
So is Mike S, Vermont ONLY recognizes CIVIL UNIONS...which are NOT THE SAME and even still...YOUR UNION MUST BE FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED FOR YOU TO ACCESS CITIZENSHIP THROUGH YOUR SPOUSE!
ANYONE WHO TELLS YOU DIFFERENTLY DOES NOT KNOW THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY NOR IMMIGRATION INTO SAME!!!
PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR HOPES UP WITH FALSE INFORMATION!!!
