i had periods on last month that is desember 22 it stopped on 26 of dec i had an unprotected sex on 2 january today is 6 jan i dont want to be pregnent what can i do. will i be pragnent

It sounds like you are probably young and just starting to experiment with sex. There is nothing wrong with this, HOWEVER, you should do RESEARCH and be WELL INFORMED before continuing to do this. There is a lot more to worry about besides just getting pregnant--sexually transmitted diseases can KILL you.

First do some research on the woman's cycle-- you have to realize this cycle varies a little bit from woman to woman and you should learn how your cycle works.
I am demonstrating this chart of "averages" if yours is exactly the same:

Menstrual Stage - days 1-4
follicular phase - days 5-13 (dec 26 - Jan 3rd)
ovulation - day 14 (Jan 4)
luteal phase - day 15-26 (Jan 5 - Jan 16)
ischemic phase days 27-28 (Jan 17 - Jan 18)

Sperm survive inside a woman for 3 days on average, but CAN live for up to 8 days sometimes. The most fertile period (the time with the highest likelihood of sexual intercourse leading to pregnancy) covers the time from some 5 days before ovulation until 1-2 days after ovulation. In an average 28 day cycle with a 14-day luteal phase, this corresponds to the second and the beginning of the third week of the cycle.

The sperm inside you from the 2nd of Jan can live on average until 5th of January, but POSSIBLY up to the 10th or so. Sorry to say, but this IS INSIDE of your window of and possibility of getting pregnant. It doesn't mean you will be pregnant, but it CAN happen. You had sex only a couple of days before average ovulation, leaving it the perfect opportunity to get pregnant.

I hope for your sake you are not pregnant, but even if you are there are steps you can take if you feel you are too young to have a baby.

Please always have your partner USE A CONDOM. Keep them yourself as well to stay prepared. Research birth control and see if thats an option for you as well. Please don't have sex again until you educate yourself about all of this! Stay informed!!!

You should wish very hard that you're not. You dropped the ball, Sugar. TWICE. First, when you had unprotected sex. Then, when you waited 5 days to start worrying about it. If you went to the doctor within 36 hours, they would have given you Plan-B, and substantially lowered the likelyhood that you get pregnant.

Now u have to wait for next period. If it will be late for two weeks, have an ultrasound examination to rule out pregnancy. U can not do any thing now to prevent pregnancy, although, chances are 50/50.
