I have a 42" Samsung DLP and it's pretty cool!

Do you want 1080p or will 1080i do? Space limitations? Budget? Fixed pixel or CRT?
The good thing about microdisplays (Fixed Pixel Displays) is that they need very little adjustment compared to the older CRT Technology. If you are limited on space then LCD or Plasma is the way to go.
LCD you don't experience screen burn and is good for places where a lack of space is an issue. But they typically have motion blur in fast moving scenes and are expensive. Check the response time on these. The faster time the less motion blur.
Plasma have vibrant colors except black. Blacks look washed and appear more of a really dark gray. They are great on the space issue. Bad side, they are also expensive, and screen burn is possible.
DLPs have brilliant colors and clarity and are getting cheaper by the day. Blacks aren't that great unless the television has a shutter device to limit the amount of light on dark scenes. The bulb seems to burn out. They are bulky so if you don't have the space then this would be a bad choice.
CRTs are a dying technology and VERY bulky. Not really worth mentioning.
If space is not an issue then I suggest the Mitsubishi 732 series DLPs. They come with a dark detailer for the dark scenes.

Definitely go for a samsung. It's the most highly recommended for the 360. And try and pick up a vga cable while you're at it. Your hd gaming pleasure is sorted.

buy a samsung LCD tv. Its the best one for displaying XBOX 360 graphics and it looks good too.

I recommend getting a HD Ready TV that also has Freeview built in!

Go for LCD avoid plasma or rear projection and lastly go for a well known brand that's been around for years.
