All the evidence (pictures) point to that there was water on mars. In order for us to know for sure we need soil samples from Mars and I have not kept up to date with this and i actually think they did take samples of soil from Mars and found out there was water but I am not 100% sure that they did that.

Definitely. The problem for Mars though was that it's magnetic field degraded quite quickly and solar wind basically blew all that water away.

er, they already found edvientance of water on the mars
remember? taco bell gived out free tacos on that day, because they found trace of water on mars, there used to be rivers and stuff
