... to your exact specifications, would you do it?

In other words, if there was a new technology that was completely safe that could make you look exactly the way you wanted to look from top to bottom... but the one thing it costed you was the removal of your little toe (your choice of foot) :-) .... would you do it? Why/why not? Thanks for answering!

I would do it because I figure if technology was that good, I'd be able to get my little toe back. I know, it's a loophole :) But seriously, if you could avoid the surgical pain and the chance of any complications, I would do it. I need major dental work right now and would love to avoid the drilling and office visits. If I could fix a few other things, I would too, but otherwise if you still had pain, recovery time, etc. then no. I'm not that unhappy with myself and I know the things that need fixing I can fix if I make the effort.

Your little toe is more useful than you think. The foot is basically a tripod, and your little toe provides balance. 80-90 years ago, my grandmother had the tendons cut in her little toes because she was vain and wanted straight toes. It affected her walking forever. Which is to say, don't buy trouble -- unless you are so ugly you scare dogs and small children, there's no need for surgery.

As for me, I'm sure there's "work" I could have done, but I think a lot of those people end up looking a little freakish. I live in Southern California, and I'd say that about one in six women have obvious plastic surgery. Not good. Not for me.

Absolutely. I don't need my little toe to have a happy life, but I NEED companionship and love...and evidently, in order to achieve those things you have to have X amount of pretty and apparently I don't have it.

No, I wouldn't do it. It wouldn't be worth it. Besides, I'm happy with the way I look.
