they just put some stuff under your skin and it makes a bubble
if it goes away in a few days your OK, doesn't hurt at all
the needle just goes under the top layer of skin so you dont even feel it go in at all and it only takes a second

Yes I have had the test and it is not painful. It looks a lot worse than it feels. Its a tiny injection just under your skin. Then they will check the injection site in a day or 2. Don't worry.

they insert the needle underneath the skin and inject the test under the skin it raises up at first then goes down if all is well. they do not still the needle all of the way in as they do with a regular shot. it may sting a bit but that is about it.

ya i had 1. they dnt do anything painful. they just take a syringe n raise a bleb on volar aspect of ur arm, after inserting d needle just abt 3 mm in d skin. its nt painful. its just like a mosquitoe bite. if its negative then there will nt b any reaction seen on injected part of skin. if its positive for tuberculosis then there may b sme reaction n a oedematous swelling, around 9-10 mm.
Dnt worry!... hav 1. Best of luck!

oh yeah, we had to have a TB test every year when i worked for an HMO in San Diego......it's a piece of cake.....they insert the needle just below the skin and then you go back in 48 hours so they can read the site where they inserted the needle. and for me there was never any reaction.
don't worry about it, like i said it is a piece of cake

They scratched my forearm and said to come back if it looked different in the next few days. It took a moment and didn't hurt much.
