u know i have no problem with the ones that do it the right way and become citizens. but today that's not what happing today for one because we are not making the nm do it any more. my great grand parents immigrated from Germany and they had to know English before they became citizens but it's not like that any more if u go to read the instructions they are written in both English and Spanish. and have u called your phone company here as of late they have a separate thing for Spanish. Even menus are written in Spanish and our kids have to know Spanish before they can even graduate high school now. plus most of them are paid under the table so no taxes paid form them so that kills our economy as well.plus they want to give them welfare so why should they want to become citizens when they don't have to learn the language any more or pay taxes.

The govt. makes it too easy for them. There are to many businesses that are prepared to hire illegals, and there doesn't seem to be any reprocussions for it. They do not want to learn english, its as simple as that.
As long as illegals undercut local labour costs, the govt and businesses will not do anything about it.
Illegals should not be allowed any social benefits ie Free medical. Nor should they be allowed to have children in this country .

No, it shows that we're finally starting to change our views towards language in this country. English is not "superior" just because many people in one of the most powerful countries in the world use it. Also, I think you're exaggerating about what you said at the end.

I hear you. The Decleration of Independence is written in English, so that should be the only standard. If you can't function in this country with OUR language, either learn it, or leave.

Besides, I always preferred French as a second language anyways.

I'm sick of seeing you ask the same question 5,000,000 times.
