Some girls don't even notice it. For others, it's *extremely* painful.
For me, it kind of felt like when you accidentally jam a Q-tip into your ear. I didn't bleed, but some girls do.
If she has consented to have intercourse with you, go ahead and continue. The pain lasts for a few moments, but stopping won't make it go away any faster.

for me, it really hurt and my 1st intercourse was very uncomfortable. and it really hurt the 2nd time as well. there was quite a bit of bleeding and it really hurt afterward, too. i mean i was aware of the fact that something had been there...........
