you can be friends but you need time to heal before you can be friends. just tell her you need space for awhile. and will not call her or see her for awhile. and just start going out with your friends or start to date. my guess is that once you start to date she will change her mind and want you back. but just keep your distance for awhile and see what happens. if you don't get back together and your over her then you can be friends but you need space away from her to heal.

Dude. Seriously. If she broke your heart, and obviously you loved her, then you DONT WANT TO BE HER FRIEND. Ditch the *****. I know how you feel but be honest with yourself...you dont really want a friendship from her. You want to get back together. If you start talking with her after the breakup you wont win her over through pity (and believe me pity relationships arent what you really want anyway).

The best thing you can probably do is lose her number and stop talking to her. Life will go on I promise. And believe it or not, you WILL in fact find someone much better than she is. In the meantime find a hobby, hang with friends, talk to a counselor, do whatever you want that will take your mind off her. And before you know it, you will in fact be over her.

Good luck.

hey! my name is trung and I have just gotten over a break up! It's not easy but my advice is: you should find something to do to forget all about the memories! Maybe you should go traveling to somewhere, a peace place like beach for example.. but don't you ever go to places where you and your girl friend went before! It's just make you feel more sad! And you know what? you should forget about her! Because when she felt sorry, it's mean she made up her mind when she said good bye! Don't be sad! You must try your best to get over it!

If you've already discussed the break up, you should not be running to her to discuss any other problems. It would be in your best interest to limit the amount of time you spend in her presence. Getting over a break up is a very hard thing to do and it'll only hurt you more if she continues to reject you.

Good luck.

From what I see you want to be w/ this woman and this so called "friendship" keeps you around longer, but would this be healthy for you in the long run?
